'tree house' PHASE 1:

​As part of an overall masterplan for this fifteen acre wooded estate near Newbury,  this first phase dealt with the existing house. This had once been a small cottage, extended in the 1960's in glamorous 'suburban aesthetic'!  Our refurbishment and extension scheme reclads the exterior in vertically orientated cedar lined joinery (to contain planters & wood stores etc), and replaces the 2nd floor attic with a loft bedroom, glazed to encompass long range views to the woods on both sides. The majority of the first floor was remodelled internally to achieve beautiful bathroom and bedroom spaces , each designed bespoke to reflect the character of the individual family members.  The exposed timber treatment speaks to the woods, and sets up the dialog for phase 2 building.
